This Privacy Policy explains how PROMINT CONSULTANCY PRIVATE LIMITED, operating StartIndia.AI at startindia.ai and any related mobile applications (together, the “Services”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data belonging to visitors, registered users, and clients (“you”, “User”, “Data Principal”).

Identity & contact data: name, email, phone number, address, date of birth/incorporation, PAN, Aadhaar, DIN, and other KYC identifiers required for the specific filing or registration you request.

Financial data: bank account details, GSTIN, transaction and payment records, turnover and tax information necessary to render the service.

Usage & technical data: IP address, device/browser type, log data, and interaction data collected via cookies and similar technologies.

Documents you upload: incorporation documents, board resolutions, financial statements, and other files submitted for a filing.

AI interaction data: prompts, drafts, and inputs you provide to any AI-assisted drafting or chat features, which may be processed to generate outputs and, in de-identified or aggregated form, to improve our models — see Section 5.

• To create and administer your account and verify your identity (KYC).
• To prepare, file, and track incorporation, GST, MCA, income tax, trademark, and other filings on your behalf.
• To process payments and issue GST-compliant invoices.
• To provide customer support, respond to queries, and send service-related notifications (filing status, due-date reminders).
• To detect fraud, secure the platform, and comply with legal/regulatory obligations, including responding to lawful government or court requests.
• With your separate consent, to send marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time.

Certain features (document drafting assistance, deadline prediction, form auto-fill) use AI models to process the data described above. Outputs generated by these features are reviewed by a member of our professional team before being relied upon or filed with any authority, unless you have explicitly selected a self-serve workflow. We do not use your confidential filing data to train AI models shared with, or accessible to, other clients, except in de-identified, aggregated form used solely to improve service quality.

We use cookies and similar technologies (including analytics tools) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand platform usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some platform features. We do not knowingly permit third-party advertising cookies that track you across unrelated sites without your consent.

• To government authorities and portals (MCA, GSTN, Income Tax Department, IP India, etc.) strictly as required to complete the service you requested.
• To professional partners (chartered accountants, company secretaries, empanelled advocates) engaged to deliver a specific service, under confidentiality obligations.
• To service providers who support our infrastructure (cloud hosting, payment gateways, analytics), bound by data-processing agreements.
• Where required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StartIndia.AI, our clients, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with unrelated third parties for their independent marketing use without your explicit consent.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest where applicable, and access is restricted on a need-to-know basis. We retain personal and filing data for as long as necessary to provide the Services and to meet statutory retention requirements under Indian company, tax, and accounting law (which can range up to 8 years or more for certain financial records), after which it is securely deleted or anonymised, subject to legal hold requirements.

Subject to applicable law (including the DPDP Act, 2023 once its provisions are in force), you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., marketing), and request a copy of your data in a portable format. Requests can be made to support@startindia.ai; we will verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within the statutory timeline.

Our Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old or otherwise legally competent to contract and to register a business entity in India. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or a prominent notice on the platform before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes acceptance.
